Story Of Aran, relating to KOC

Long ago, five heroes came together to fight against the Black Magician to save the Maple World. Despite their powerful skills, they couldn't defeat the Black Magician. To save the residents, the heroes sent them to Victoria Island before they went to search for the Black Magician for one last time.

But the Black Magician was stronger and froze one of the heroes, Aran, with a curse. During this period, Aran lost his memories and abilities. After hundreds of years, Aran awakes to the sound of a girl's voice.

Lilin, the only human on Rien and a member of the Rien clan, has waited for the Hero to return. She believes that one day an ancient prophecy will be fulfilled. Lilin is trying to help Aran recover all of his memories and abilities.

With Lilin's help, Aran is slowly beginning to recover and adjust to civilization. With training, he will be able to get back his formidable power that he once had before he got sealed by the Black Magician.

The heroes are aware that the Black Magician will come back to the Maple World very soon and that this time they will have to defeat the Black Magician for once and for all.

Aran is BACK!

ARAN IS BACK!Aran is an legendary character, also a new type of class, with a special type of skills. It specialty is making combos in a short time,taking a lesser time in eliminating monsters.

If you create an Aran, the new character will have a default tan skin. Arans starts in an area called Rien, an icy snow covered area with very low temperatures located in a warm place due to the curse. More than half of the island is covered with snow and ice. Arans are a warrior-type class who use polearms as their main weapon.Aran can also be equiped with Warrior's clothes.Like Cygnus Knight, in the selecting character screen there will be a bamboo image identifying the character as an Aran.

To make the Arans even more unique, they have a game mechanic that no other class gets to use: the combo system(which I brief you about). Players are able to increase their combo counter by continuously hitting monsters. As their combo counter increases, so does their damage. Some of the Arans' skills require the player to build up their combo counter before they can use them.

The Story Behind Knight Of Cygnus

The Knights of Cygnus were actually recruited by Goddess Cygnus to defend Maple World from the evil Black Wizard. The Black Wizard once tried to destroy the Maple World and now news are spreading that he is back again. Goddess Cygnus decided to recruit KOCs as she heard that the Black Wizard is getting stronger than before. The game have a new map called “Erev” for the Knight of Cygnus to do trainings and missions to keep Maple World peaceful. Will the Black Wizard take over the World of Maple? Or will the Knight Of Cygnus protect it and defeat the Black Wizard ? Its up to you to find out!

Brief Introduction on Knight Of Cygnus

Last year, Asiasoft introduced the new class of jobs called Knight Of Cygnus. This is a new class of jobs namely Soul Master, Wind Breaker, Striker, Flame Wizard and Night Walker. Soul Master, Wind Breaker, Striker, Flame Wizard, Night Walker represent Warrior, Bowman, Pirate, Magician and Thief respectively. The difference between the adventurer class and the Knight Of Cygnus(KOC) class is that KOC characters are only able to train till level 120. These characters are usually more powerful compared to the same level group so they are easier to train. However, KOC characters have only 3 job advancements( level 10,30,70).

Pirate Job

Soon after, Pirate job was introduced to Maple Story. Many peaple turned up for the event to introduce the Pirates. Many people started to create an Pirate character but due to its difficulty to train, many gave up. The number of Pirates decreased drastically.

Introduction to Maple Story

This is actually a blog for my school project. Maple Story is a very fun and exciting game with quests and missions. That was why I chose this topic among others for this school project. I hope u enjoy my introduction to Maple Story.


Maple Story started off as a game consisting of adventurers which are characters you make in an account. Experience points will be awearded when you finish quests or when you exterminate monsters. It soon gained popularity and people have managed to reached the highest level in the game, level 200. "MrYandao" a character, was the first to have done so in the south east asia network. Since then, people have started to acheived the same heights as him.

Jobs advancement are available when you are level 10, 30, 70 and 120. You are able to choose from 5 jobs when you are level 10: Warrior, Bowman, Magicain, Thief. Each of the jobs give you different skills.
